What Does a Billion Dollars Mean?

What Does a Billion Dollars Mean...

To YOU?

A few years ago, I asked myself that question and sat down to write about it.

The question requires a look at perspective and value - and when we answer it honestly
it changes the meaning of many things we hear in the media, in the articles about money
and finance and reality itself, in a way.

I've met a couple of billionaires personally and for the most part they are just regular people
who figured out the game and how to attract what they wanted to manifest in their lives.

We have grown so accustomed to hearing about:

  • how many billions something will cost
  • how many billions have been spent already
  • billions in deficits
  • billions for this and billions for that...
The reality is that a  Billion Dollars is a helluva lot of money, even for a politician...

In a way, the younger generation, that has grown up in a world of technology, has an advantage
in that they can see the abundance of the Internet. They have seen start ups in their lifetimes achieve
financial accomplishments unheard of before recent times.

Older generations value hard work - what it means to work hard for what you want. The younger generation
often wants no part in hard work. They prefer instead that technology do the hard work for them.

What we need is probably a combination of both perspectives - a true Billion Dollar attitude:

"Both using the law of attraction to attract what you want creating sustainable wealth (without limits) - manifesting it using technology - and good old fashioned hard work, all the while loving and enjoying our lives fully."

Mentally trying to understand: what does a billion dollars mean requires a different perspective.

Negative assessment of the Fed...

Just scanned an online newsletter a minute ago which was focused on a negative assessment of the Fed.

Got to a quote that I thought was humorous, clever and true all at the same time....

David Stockman, President Reagan’s budget director, quipped to The Fiscal Times that
“I invest in anything that (Fed Chairman) Bernanke can’t destroy, including gold, canned beans, bottled water and flashlight batteries.”

And here is a tidbit from a Ron Paul blog post on 6/26/09

Here is Bernanke's response during questioning in front of Congress:

When asked by Rep. John Duncan on Thursday about the fact that a majority of Congress is co-sponsoring Ron Paul’s HR 1207 bill to audit the Federal Reserve, Ben Bernanke responded:
Ben Bernanke: “My concern about the legislation is that if the GAO is auditing not only the operational aspects of the programs and the details of the programs but making judgments about our policy decisions would effectively be a takeover of policy by the Congress and a repudiation of theFederal Reserve would be highly destructive to the stability of the financial system, the dollar and our national economic situation.”
I have a question:

What happened to that bill? And what happened to the "audit"? Remember when people across the US were up in arms about the Fed just prior to this?

I personally think that any monetary policy that is outside of Constitutional Authority should always:
  1. be challenged and questioned
  2. be audited and thoroughly and objectively be scrutinized
And furthermore, if control of the money supply of US citizens is managed by privately held entities that these entities shall be mandated (at all times) provide:

  • full disclosure and
  • independently monitored and evaluated internal controls that demonstrate absolute integrity in all aspects of operation
  • full access and must be be fully transparent to all operations, procedures and policies
  • should only be managed by those financial experts who demonstrate that they fully represent the best interests of US citizens

If the Fed make mistakes with our money, they should be held accountable in open proceedings visible to the public. When the Fed takes actions that do not represent the best interest of US citizens completely (as is common to all obligations of fiduciary duty in professional financial relationships) and create financial damages or hardships they should both be fired and make mandatory restitution.

Personally, I think the Fed should be completely abolished.

And I think that we should hire an independent board of advisors to oversee, plan and establish long term investment planning on a national scale for the sole benefit of US citizens and the US economy. It should be an absolute honor just to serve in this capacity and only those voted to be the brightest and the best by their industry peers shall be nominated for a position.

This board should be compensated very well for their time and expertise by sharing a small, residual percentage of the all the net profits generated for the funds and investment packages they create so there is direct incentive to make the funds and investment systems both as stable and as profitable as possible for the long term.

They should also share in any losses.

Performance and results are the only thing that matter.

These funds should be for the express purposes of benefiting the US citizens, to establish long term economic and financial stability and

SHALL NEVER BE AVAILABLE TO CONGRESS FOR SPENDING.

In addition to planning, developing and managing private long term investment and retirement type accounts for US citizens. This body should evaluate and make recommendations to Congress about viability, stability, and performance of achieving balanced budgets in real measurable terms of all Congressional budgets and expenditures.

Both a balanced budget and a shrinking deficit should be mandatory of Congress each session until all US Government debt is paid off.

Financial control should be in the hands of - and for the benefit of - US citizens.

Where would we get such leadership?

How about successful entrepreneurs who made their money themselves?

Develop a training and mentoring program to find and mentor the very best candidates in this country by the sharpest and most accomplished financial minds in this country.

Create awards both in terms of recognition and financially for the best performance. Let them be nominated by their peers and establish a criteria that includes diverse feedback and scrutiny.

In 20-30 years, we would again have the strongest and most stable economy in the world again. The dollar would be the most valuable currency in the world and not simply an IOU issued in exchange for government bonds.

Let's get back to basics and make this happen.

The Fed and their buddies and Congress are draining the financial groundwater dry.

A Healthy Boomer is a Wealthy Boomer...

A Healthy Boomer is a Wealthy Boomer Because
What Good Is Money if We Aren't Healthy to Enjoy It?

How often do we get stuck in a pattern chasing the almighty buck?

Maybe we cut back a bit on time with the family, a bit here and a bit there around
taking care of ourselves physically, emotionally and mentally.

We work too hard and we don't laugh enough. We take life too seriously.

It's time to start enjoying life in a childlike manner again. More carefree, more playful
and more authentically. Kids are authentic because they have not yet learned how to
be phony.

There is non greater wealth than robust health.

Being healthy is the foundation of a wealthy life and a wealthy lifestyle.

What's new in Heart Forgiveness this week...

Heart Forgiveness News in Sarasota...

This week marks the end of a Heart Forgiveness Series and the beginning
of another one.
This is the most effective method I have ever found to once and for all:
  • Forgive other people and events
  • To forgive ourselves and
  • To live without anger permanently
Heart Forgiveness does what other anger courses can never do: release anger permanently.

That's because the workshop walks the participant through the process of both clearing the
energy body of energy glitches around anger, forgiveness, emotional trauma and creating new
healthy energy blueprints.
This is done through a system called Comprehensive Kinesiology.

What's New In Heart Forgiveness Workshops starting on Sept 2 at Rejuvenations.

This Week in Core Health

Another 12 week Core Health Series comes to an end in Sarasota and once again it's sad to see the
participants in the group leave.

As always, we have grown very close. It's like summer camp. It seems to go so fast and then it's
gone for good.

Core Health is such a rewarding process and so interesting. What a legacy Dr. Ed Carlson has
created for future generations.

What a joy to be a part of something so good and so positive.

Check out the latest blog here.

Stillness Journal - My Personal Spiritual Journey...

May 15 am - Stillness Journal entry... my personal Spiritual Journey

This email was definitely a message corresponding to my meditation and stillness this morning. Part of my daily practice of Unceasing Meditation.

Subject Line: Guiding You on Your Path

"Actually, there does not seem to be any particular guidance. In fact, if someone is guiding you, that is suspicious, because you are relying on something external.
Being fully what you are in yourself becomes guidance, but not in the sense of vanguard, because you do not have a guide to follow. You do not have to follow someone's tail, but you sail along. In other words, the guide does not walk ahead of you, but walks with you."

Wow talk about absolutely perfect target marketing from the Universe.

Walking -Meditation

Walked a brisk 2.2 miles in the hot sun in shorts and no shirt (about 35 minutes in total with sun screen - working on metabolism and tan at the same time ~ 10:00 am before the sun is too hot)

As I walked I repeated my Breath Prayer silently.

I also did the cell door opening exercise and filled all 55 Trillion cells, will, emotions, mind , heart and energy body with light, the Presence of God, Joy Wisdom, Power and Love with each in breath and then with the BREATH WIND and blew all emotional debris and junk and cobwebs and tension and confusion out the back of the cell .

Then did the overflow exercise into the cells and overflowed into the will and overflowed into the emotions and the heart and then mind and the energy body with Light, Love, Power, Wisdom and the Presence of God.

Consciously choosing: Living out of and through the overflow...

As I visualized this and felt the warmth and the light within my being, I sensed a powerful connection to the Bliss Breeze blowing through and around me and a connection with the bird song and even the sounds of internal combustion engines.

The sounds of the passing 'racing' motorcycle engines were a thing of beauty as I felt the Presence of God through their sound - almost smiling at the joy and the playfulness and the pleasure of seeing a creation that entertained - so well - the rider and that expression of joy and appreciation of God came through. And I saw it and felt it in the smiles of passers by - some walking dogs with dogs gazing at me.

I felt the connection of God within the loving interaction between a teenage boy riding point on a bicycle for his gorgeous, healthy blond mother who was jogging gracefully in a syncopated and synchronized manner. She ran with a grace that was gazelle-like, the way they bound and express the energy of Life and God through motion and the physical expression of energy.

There was joy in this expression - God's, mine, the mother, the son and Universe around them all playing with the dance and enjoying experiencing it.
I faded in and out of my Breath Prayer and became more and more aware of the me - the being-ness that is part of the big picture and a quiet gentle voicing saying within:
"I am part of God and God is part of me and I am part of everything and the universe and it is part of me."
It all flowed and brought joy and a sense of absolute belonging and serenity and stillness.

I am not alone. I know now that I only ever imagined that to be the case. I never have been alone. It was all a projection on my internal 'holo-screen' - a self made truth that has only ever been true within my head.

Bliss is ever present. Joy is the natural default. Love is currency of the Universe.

Great sweat, great workout, great walk, great activation. Great internal connection. Good to be home again.

Today's profound awareness came in writing an email :

The following is the body of that email:

Did you see my status on Facebook yesterday? Seems like it relates to the Abraham quote today
"The Universe does not know whether the vibration that you're offering is because of something you're observing or something you're remembering or something that you are imagining. It just receives the vibration and answers it with things that match it. --- Abraham"

I just realized something else from that quote:

I never conceived of the Universe and the God Mind as a gigantic sub-conscious mind before this moment. It just records and responds and does not decipher any messages or interpretations.

The Universe simply responds to the energetic vibrational pattern. That is all. No interpretation, no evaluating, no reaction - just vibration.

This is a big learn for me.

This is part of my email response:
Dr. Ed is right about results. Kind of like 'what good is anything if it doesn't work?'.

I'm finding it easier to make simple choices - almost like a computer:

  • 0 or 1
  • yes or no
  • weak or strong...
The difficult part for me is remembering to listen and choose - instead of doing without choosing. The unceasing meditation has really helped me be clear about the internal noise and my 'inner voice' and I am much less reactive.

I just realized something else when I re-read this:

When I am 'doing', I have to choose. When I am being, there is really no choice because there already is alignment. In that case, the only choice is to accept what is coming "in your direction" or not. The key to understanding this was the phrase I used: 'instead of doing without choosing'.

Doing = choosing to be in alignment or not. Being = Alignment

Wow... Cool aha.
Here is my related Facebook status:
We only ever have two choices. Ask yourself: Does this make me WEAK or does this make me STRONG? The question is always very simple yet we try to complicate things. We can only choose weak or strong. Choose whatever makes you strong.
What a day of revelation and stillness...
I AM Grateful. I Am Michael Barrett
